In November 2024 we celebrated our 10th year anniversary, introducing our name change from MrWax and laser clinic to Men's Hair and Skin Clinic Perth. The name change reflects our dedication to advancing men’s care and confidence, combining cutting-edge research with global expertise to deliver revolutionary treatments for men's skin and hair thinning concerns.

From 2012, Tricia operated Male Waxing Specialist Perth, recognising the need for a space specifically tailored for men. In 2013, she created the MrWax DIY waxing kit, the first of its kind in the world. This then marked the beginning of the MrWax journey 2014-2024 which then led to the creation of  "Men's Hair and Skin Clinic Perth."

Prior to studying Cosmetic Dermatology, additionally to Beauty Therapy, Tricia worked as a Freelance Stylist. She worked with Fox Media for three years, being a stylist for the AFL commentators as well as V8 super car legends. Her styling work has been featured in fashion shoots, catwalks, books, magazines and editorials, including, the Biggest Loser and a Men’s Fitness front cover. Her dedication to men’s style, appearance and confidence, is evident.  

For the past decade, Tricia has worked alongside her daughter Grace, who manages the clinic's operations as well as treating clients. Grace being an APAN Registered Aesthetic Practitioner, shares Tricia’s commitment to research and education. Together, they’ve travelled extensively to access training not available in Western Australia, solidifying their reputation as leaders in male only aesthetics.

Since 2022, our focus has been on global research and innovation, offering groundbreaking treatments for mens skin and hair thinning concerns. Some being:

‍Advanced Solutions for Hair Thinning Problems Back in 2022, we began developing in-clinic protocols that combined plant-based epidermal growth factors, PDRN derived from deep-sea salmon DNA, collagen induction therapy, and targeted LED light treatments. Visible results were emerging, scalps were revitalising, and hair coverage was returning.

By mid-2024, we advanced our work through independent in-clinic testing, expanding the protocols to include cold atmospheric plasma, specialised scalp washes, regenerative serums, scalp massage and customised light therapy. Each step was carefully adapted to the individual’s scalp condition, ensuring a tailored approach rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment.

Through greater research and continued evaluations, these multi-layered treatments evolved into RegenScalp AFRP™ (Advanced Follicle Rejuvenation Protocols) our trademarked system, designed and refined exclusively at Men’s Hair & Skin Clinic Perth.

In our clinic we are dedicated to providing only products and technologies endorsed by masters in their field or world class experts, backed by reliable clinical data and evidence. Treatments that do not meet these high standards are not introduced in the clinic. The team respects their clients' time and investment, upholding a standard of complete transparency, any images they share reflect results achieved exclusively within the clinic.

Tricia and Grace, are both APAN Registered Aesthetic Practitioner's and are active members of the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians, ensuring their practices align with the highest industry standards.
